This programme has been specifically designed to demonstrate skills in safe handling, moving and lifting of machines and materials.

Module1 - Identifying and Examining Equipment (SLM - 1)
• Identify the equipment most commonly used in lifting and moving.
• Examine the equipment.
• Selection criteria - equipment that will handle a specific load.

Module 2 - Securing methods and techniques (SLM - 2)
• How to make knots and hitches commonly used in lifting and moving.
• How to apply various slinging methods.

Module 3 - Planning and Selecting Equipment (SLM - 3)
• Plan the execution of a task.
• Select the correct equipment needed to carry out a specific task safely and effectively.

Module 4 - Performing Specific Tasks (SLM – 4)
• Tasks 1 – 3
• Safely perform lifting and moving tasks using available equipment.

Module 5 - Performing Specific Tasks (SLM – 5)
• Tasks 4 – 6
• Safely carry out lifting and moving tasks using available equipment.
