principle components of typical compressed air systems.
• Demonstrate safe and correct methods of using and caring
for airline equipment.
CAS-2 Reciprocating Compressors
At the end of this module the learner will be able
to:
• Describe, using correct terminology, the
operating principles of single and two-stage reciprocating compressors.
• Demonstrate the procedures for performing basic maintenance
tasks on a typical reciprocating compressor.
CAS-3 Rotary screw Compressors
At the end of this module the learner will be able
to:
• Describe, using correct terminology, the
operating principles of a wet-screw rotary type compressor.
• Demonstrate the procedures for performing basic maintenance
tasks on a typical wet-screw compressor unit.
CAS-4 Air-Line Systems
At the end of this module the learner will be able
to:
• Describe the purpose and operating
principles of typical air treatment devices.
• Demonstrate and describe procedures for performing maintenance
and inspection on an air system.
