AET-1 Testing the Starter Circuit

At the end of this module the Learners will be able to:

• Identify by name all the main components of a typical starting system
• Describe the function and purpose of all components
• Use basic test instruments to pin-point any trouble spots anywhere on the starting system
• Rectify commonly encountered problems in the circuit.

AET-2 Testing the AC Charge Circuit

At the end of this module Learners will be able to:

• Identify by name all the main components of a typical AC charging system
• Describe the function or purpose of the main components
• Use basic test equipment in diagnosing faults
• Follow a set procedure in fault diagnosing to eliminate any “hit and miss” methods
• Rectify commonly encountered problems in the circuit.
