At the end of this module the Learners will be able to:
• Identify by name the components of a squirrel cage motor
• Describe the basic operating principles of a typical 3 phase induction motor
• Describe the information given on a motors name-plate
• Calculate motor slip factor.

ACI-2 Routine motor maintenance

At the end of this module Learners will be able to:
• Demonstrate the procedure for performing routine maintenance on three phase squirrel cage induction motors

ACI-3 Electrical Testing & inspection

At the end of this module Learners will be able to:

• Demonstrate the inspection procedure on an induction motor
• Demonstrate the testing procedure on an induction motor
• Describe three methods of drying motors.

ACI-4 Motor Service

At the end of this module the Learners will be able to:
• Demonstrate the dismantling procedure
• Demonstrate the component inspection procedure
• Demonstrate bearing replacement procedure
• Demonstrate assembling procedure
